Andy lives and works in the coastal region of Hampshire.

He first picked up a camera in 2010 and initially used it solely as a focus to get out into the Hampshire countryside. An interest in wildlife photography began. Over the last couple of years that interest has given way to landscape photography, a genre which allows more creativity and facilitates greater artistic input.

At the same time he started Hampshire Social Snappers, a not for profit enterprise bringing social photography to over 570 enthusiastic amateur photographers. Events are run frequently and are open to all, allowing amateur photographers to get out and about in the Hampshire countryside. People learn the various genres of photography and moreover meet like minded people at the same time. His open, welcoming and inclusive nature pervades this particular group.

Its free to join and events cost £1 per person. Go here

The vast majority of events are run locally in South Hampshire with some forays further afield; to date we have run events in Cornwall, Devon, N Wales, the Lake District, Skomer, the Orkneys, Prague, Iceland, the States, India and Myanmar.
